We associate with schools and request the school management to identify learners who are needy then we priorities them when offering support.
At the commencement of academics, most of the learners with affording parents come to school with new uniforms and those who are needy can be easily identified.
We believe that when a child looks as a student, they will perform as students, but if they seem presentably different they will feel psychologically inferior to others.
At Baqaqe Primary under uMlalazi Municipality, the School SMT identified learners who are wearing shoes that are not a school regalia and ones which has worn out. During February 2024, Isibani Organisation donated shoes to those students.
With the Idea that there are many contextual issues affiliating with classroom education, we Know that students cannot focus properly in class if they do not feel well presented as students.
As part of adding towards effective learners’ education, Isibani Organisation was reaching out to Mawombe Secondary School to offer learners from less affording families with school uniforms.
One of the reasons for initiating a policy of school uniforms is to avoid the transparency of learners’ background if they are coming from the poor or rich families. It a secondary issue when a student is wearing a uniform that has worn out, which is ultimately exposing that learner’s house hold’s financial status.
To strengthen the uniform policy in schools, Isibani Organisation has extended a hand to Siphumelele High School under Umhlathuze municipality and assisted the selected learners which our service would make difference to their lives in the academia.
When visiting schools, we do surveys to discover contextual issues faced with schools which are directly and indirectly negatively impacting teaching and learning. This helps Isibani team to identify the common issues at schools and ones to pay precedence attention to.
2023 February at eMachibini Primary School – Mtubatuba Town under uMkhanyakude Municipality, supporting learners with school uniforms. Isbani Organisation understands that in rural areas many households are living under poverty line with parents and guardians not affording even basic things as school uniforms. It is our commitment to meet learners needs and impacting their education positively.
A great number of post- high school graduates and post-higher education graduates are lacking job opportunities. Organisations need to hire people with at least a fieldwork exposure to ensure the hiring of resourceful workforce.
Isibani Organisation is placing youth in host organisations where they may earn skills that are in demand and practical experience.
