Human Capital & Skills Development

Human Capital & Skills Development

In rural South Africa, unemployment is more than a statistic-it’s a barrier to dignity, safety, and progress. Every year, thousands of young people complete high school or even graduate from tertiary institutions but remain trapped in poverty due to limited access to job opportunities, skills development, or career guidance.

Isibani Organisation's Human Capital & Skills Development programme is a strategic response to this crisis. It aims to unlock potential, build practical skills, and create pathways to employment and self-sufficiency-especially for young people who are out of school and out of work.

What We Aim to Achieve

Our programme focuses on equipping youth with real-world, in-demand skills while creating structured support that links them to economic opportunities. We believe that when young people are skilled and economically active, they become catalysts for broader community transformation.

Programme Components
With a spirit of innovation, we navigate uncharted territories, exploring new ideas, technologies, and approaches.
  1. Digital Skills & Literacy Training. Youth are trained in essential computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, typing, online research), helping them gain confidence in a digital economy.
  2. Career Readiness & Life Skills Workshops. Participants learn how to write a CV, prepare for interviews, manage their time, and navigate professional environments.
  3. Entrepreneurship Development. For those who want to create their own income opportunities, we provide basic business skills training, mentorship, and links to local enterprise development programmes.
  4. Internship & Job Placement Support. Through partnerships with local organisations and small businesses, we place trained youth into short-term work experience or internship roles that give them a foot in the door.
  5. Community Outreach & Motivation Campaigns. We host community events and school visits to encourage discouraged youth to participate, grow, and rise above their current circumstances.
